Comments:
My first time back on 6m since 1998. Long dry spell. Had a new (old) antenna
from K4ZGB, 5L on 18' boom at 43'--it played pretty good. Got is on the tower
around 2300z Saturday. The band seem pretty good then, but did not last long.
Worked plenty of locals around in GA, AL, and FL. No DX, guess that I was not
in the right place at the right time.
Worked only a handful on 2m. Signal seemed to be pretty good when they were
there. Used an old FT480R and a F9FT antenna at 75'. Have about 275' of RG 8
to feed it, so guess I really can't expect to much. Have a remedy, but will be
later this fall or winter before I can get it installed.
