Comments:

We had two stations with amps, and used them continuously -
but there were times when there was not two open bands:
like midday (noon) both days when 20m was ok and 15m just wouldn't open,
and late (8:30PM?) at night when 40m disappeared leaving only 80m.
After solving a bunch of problems, we got a third radio going for spotting
and a few easy-picking QSOs.

We had 150 Qsos per hour for the first 12 hours, then the rate plummeted
overnight, and the second day was never quite as good. At times
the 20m SSB QRM was rough as all the weekend ragchews, nets, jammers and
special events competed for space. We had 57 multipliers by the first
sundown,
but never heard or worked NT. Our final score was only slightly below last
year,
which is pretty good for an absent 15m and 10m. AA6XV made 3 QSOs for us on 6M
to remind us that 10m was actually busier.

We experienced many stations who were loud to us, but wouldn't answer our
calls - but after checking all the knobs and making other QSOs, we had to
conclude they had noisy locations or QRM. It was frustrating though to leave
a CQ frequency to try to grab a contact - and fail, fail, fail... and then
lose the old CQ frequency. Making up for it were the nice ops who would
change bands or modes for us, in particular I remember K6MM.

Thank you to all the county expeditions, and to the many participants.
for the W6YX ops, K6UFO
