Here I was, ready to do aPB for the NS. 20M seemed to be bad- couldn't get
anything going on it. Lots of repeats and unanswered calls. When I finally
went to 40M, I went to turn the antenna selector and discovered I had been on
the R7 vertical for the entire 20M time! I had bee listening to the Red Sox
game on the vertical, and had never switched it back to the beam. So, instead
of a 4el 20M beam at 150ft ASL, I was on an R7.
Oh well, live and learn. 40/80M were quite noisy tonight, so couldn't hear as
well as usual. Still managed to pull N6RO out on 40M, although I never heard
him on 20M.
Thanks for the Qs. It was an enjoyable series, even if it meant staying up
until midnight here!
