rig : IC 756proII - hb amp - 2el yagi @ 70' - N1MM-logger 4.0.169

Started the contest without sleep after office hours, 3 hours driving and
station installation (finished installation 1 hour b4 start)- not the best
preliminaries for SO 48 h operation. Was planning full cluster benefit, but
though it worked fine for the WAE/TTY, the Internet linux server would require a
full reset after each CW transmission, so I limited cluster use to a few
tfc-break spots download...
Stopped both days after W-window - thought "before JA windows" but both days
worked JA before going for a sleep... (In fact worked JA almost any time).
Conditions have been quite good, with low level of QRN, but some geomagnetic
disturbances affected the band (the worst Sunday around 17z when all EU stations
suddenly disapeared for an hour or so...).
N1MM worked perfectly - though using the LPT CW output, and despite I had
several other applications running simultaneously (hamcap,DX atlas,
Audiograbber...), I did not experience any CW timing problem...
Best full hour has been the 3rd one with 148 QSO's logged between 2 and 3z (best
minute : 6 qso's / best 10mn : 41 qso's ) - good fun and thanks to Alex VE3NEA
for his "morse runner" which provided the "week-B4" training after several
monthes with TTY-only contesting (my last serious CW contest was ARRL-DX from
FG).
Again thanks to Betty and Patrick for their hospitality; though not A61AJ's 3
over 3 on 150' tower, Patrick's 40m setup is working extremely well...

Another great weekend "fuera del mundo".

Patrick
