Comments:
I had not planned to work this contest at all, but friday night I turned the
radio on and decided to work a few.
Again on Saturday I had a little more spare time to work a few more and then
again on Sunday. I spent about 4 hours total time between chores, work,
goofing off, and family stuff. Heard some great CW ops out there as well as
a couple of nasty sounding transmitters. As usual in the CW contests, three
times I was able to work 2 stations with one call because of the closeness
of their frequencies. It confuses the other stations when you give the
report 2 times with different worked calls so I need to figure out a better
way. 10 meters was pretty good for a short time here with some flutter on 40
meter signals for awhile that made it hard for EU to copy. It was very nice
to see all the mults that were working this contest!
I also heard quite a few stations calling stations that they could not hear
and I suppose this is because of the cluster, but sure wish they knew how
tough it is for the rest of us when they continuously call while the dx is
sending our report. Not sure how they plan to work a station that they can
not hear. Maybe thats what they call ESP. hi
I hope to be able to put a full time effort into the DXSSB contest and hope
to see as many mults with better band conditions.
Cheers.
