     Comments:
What a wonderful discovery!! For years, I had shied away from
     sprints.
I figured them to be too difficult and, thus, no fun. Boy, was I
wrong. For the better part of the first hour, I listened. Confusion
turned to subtle recognition. Formats were deciphered and paces
     were measured.
And then I jumped in. Waded in is a better term. Suddenly, it all
made sense. For the next three hours, I spun the dial and made the
Qs. And, you know, the checkers will have a field day (pun intended)
editing my logs, but I'll bet they find it gets better as the times
     progress.
Main observation...here is where you find the best CW ops. I was
astounded by the ability of operators to copy the exchange first
time, every time. And while I will strive to improve my score next
time, I will, first, work to copy and send in a more competent
manor. Gosh, this was a blast! By the way, thanks to AA4GA for
some very helpful comments. And, to N6A for triggering some
wonderful non-ham related memories from his Garlic Days special
event station. Yes, you can have some very vivid memories when
     garlic is concerned. Hi Hi
