WRTC Resume For

W4ZV

Gentlemen:

I would like to be considered for the 2002 WRTC. Here are my recent actual or claimed(*) scores from the 3830 reflector as of May 31:

SOSB10 HP/UA: Rank CCF points:

99CQWWSSB - #1 (USA record) -20
99ARRL10SSB - #3 (by -4.24 %)
00ARRLDXCW - #2 (by -0.21 %)
00ARRLDXSSB - #1 (USA record)
00WPXSSB - #1 (USA record) NY4A -20
00WPXCW 3 hrs DNF (XYL emergency) NV4X -600
00CQWWSSB - #1* (#2 alltime high) -20
00CQWWCW - #1* (USA record) -20
00ARRL10CW - #1* (USA record)
01ARRLDXCW - #2* (by -0.14 %)
01ARRLDXSSB - #1*
01CQWPXSSB - #1* NY4A
01CQWPXCW - #1* (USA record) WW4M
NO ENTRY for 6th CCF contest -700

10 meter QSO totals for 10 major DX Contests (CQ WW, CQ WPX and ARRL DX) compared to the average totals of the 3 highest USA Multi-Multi 10 meter scores range from -3.6% to +59.7% with an overall average of +12.0% (data available on request). CCF criteria totals -1380, but would be -80 based on 4 contests entered and completed.

Recent SOHPUA 160 scores:

97CQ160CW - #1 (at W3LPL)
97ARRLDXCW - #2 (W4 record)
97ARRLDXSSB - #1
97CQWPXSSB - #1
98CQ160CW - #2 (W4 record)
98ARRLDXCW - #1
98STEW - #1 (low power category)
01CQ160CW - #1*

I've also operated effectively in a team environment:

96CQWWSSB - #4 MM W3LPL (#2 20M MM score)
96CQWWCW - #2 MM W3LPL (#1 80M MM score)
99CQ160CW - #3 MM W1BB (at K1ZM)
99ARRLDXCW - #1 M2 HC8N (world record)

Most of my operating from Colorado was single band because I believed this to be my best opportunity to win USA and to benchmark scores with Multi-Multi's. At W0ZV I won 8 SOSB plaques for ARRL DX and 4 for CQ WW covering all bands except 80M. I also won the CQ160CW for W0 every year from 1986-93 consistently placing in the USA Top Ten and finishing #5 USA 3 times. I entered a few multiband contests from Colorado when I had multiband antennas with the following results:

84CQWPXCW - #5 USA
84CQWWSSB - #10 USA
87IARUCW - #6 World (#2 USA to K1TO)
89CQWWSSB - #11 USA
89CQWWCW - #14 USA
92IARUCW - #8 World (#2 USA to K1TO)

Even though much of my recent contest experience has been single band, I feel I've demonstrated both the knowledge and ability to compete effectively in a multiop multiband contest like the WRTC. Thanks for considering my application!

73, Bill W4ZV
