WRTC Resume For

AA4NC

I consider myself an all-around contester (SSB/CW/RTTY/VHF), although I have specialized in multi-single contesting, especially in the ARRLDX contests, CQWW contests, and the IARU HF contest (my favorite).

I have numerous #1 world DX contest multi-single finishes (CW and SSB) using the following calls:

8P9JA
VP5NC
VP2E
VP2MU
4V2C

The VP2E score of 9.8M still (1990) represents the most SSB QSOs ever achieved by a M/S station in a DX contest ever, and still holds in 2001.
This was achieved with a simple station: single radio/800 watt amp/tribander @30 feet and wires.

I have built my own small multi-single station (W4MR), and have achieved #1 USA in the ARRL DX contest, as well as Division records in both modes of the ARRL Sweepstakes.

I was a competitor in the first WRTC (1990) in Seattle, along with W7EJ. We finished in 7th place (based on corrected score).

I have achieved run rates of 435 (clock hour) on SSB and 220 (clock hour) on CW which are in the Top Ten rates ever recorded in contesting.
