I would rather that they add digital mode to the contest.

IARU categories

First off, I am not opposed to having low power or QRP categories for this event.
Having been a regular participant in this contest for 20-some years, the simple fact is that this is, and always has been, a much larger event in Europe than it is in North America and elsewhere. Condx were not so good this year, so I worked a lot less EU. QSO totals were down. But some of the EU HQ totals would seem to indicate the activity was there.
I don't see a strong tie-in with overall activity and power levels.

IARU HF

Virtually ever other major HF contest includes High Power, Low Power and QRP competition so why not add these to IARU HF. I know this might mean a few more certificate winners, but what is wrong with that. I'm sure doing this will increase the activity level and the more the merrier!

Shack is way too hot in the summer to be turning on the amp. Save that for October!

Adding separate categories for High/Low/QRP power will add value to the event, increase activity and result in more FUN! 73
