Contesting Online Survey

Survey Question Current Survey Question

Do you plan to enter the CQ WW DX Contest?

Recent Surveys

Recently the RDXC committee reclassified P3F to high power from low power without publicly providing strong evidence that any infraction had occurred. They concluded was that the contestant was running HP on 80/40m but not full-time, just 10 minutes here and there without any convincing evidence. It appears they used the RBN as their source of information. Should the RXDC contest have to publicly provide convincing evidence before reclassifying a station from LP to HP?

Randy, K5ZD, wrote a sidebar titled " Convergence and Change" in the 2015 CQWW CW printed results in CQ magazine. He wrote that the "convergence of personal computers, Internet access, DX clusters, and CW Skimmer have changed the nature of CW contesting". He goes to say that it is "more difficult to police the line between the single operator working alone and those who are using the assistance of DX spotting." In light of this convergence and change is it time to recombine SO and SOA into a single category?

Awards
Nothing!. That's history Pal! I don't need to reflect about past contest success when I'm trying to do well in the present.

Awards
Some Awards and Plaques on the wall.
There is not enough place for awards of two Hams.

In a box
They're in a box underneath a table in the shack. They've been there since we moved in almost 6 years ago. Maybe this will be the year...

CQ-Contests
I would be happier to get the CQWW awards more fast to put
them on the wall!

Re: Awards

The only award I display on the wall is
the Italian Castles Award (DCI). It is
about A3 (420 x 297 mm) size and so
difficult to file away!

Awards
When I was first licensed in the 60's QSL cards were the thing.
When High School was completed a Diploma was prized
When College was completed the Degrees were added.
Now that time is more plentiful I enjoy the awards
no matter if first or last place. QSL's are sorted in boxes
for more awards and always seeking more of them, AWARDS and QSL's

It's not quite a dusty closet. They're in a file cabinet, along with the old paper logs and the equipment manuals.

My "walls" are bare...
My "walls" are nothing but 2X4 studs, some insulation and exposed rough wiring...no place for any awards...

Hard to Justify Hanging Those
I find it difficult to come up with a reason to hang up my "Certificate of Merit" for the 1979 Novice Roundup and my 17th Place SWOT Contest awards. But I hang my one and only first place ARRL Sweepstakes, States Above 50MHz and 2 VUCC awards close to me. I worked hard for those. P.S... My Novice Roundup one hangs in the garage..... 73's
