QSLs

I love QSLs. A display (at a local hobby show back in 1950) of QSL cards from "far away places with strange sounding names" was the spark that turned me on to ham radio.
An SASE sure helps us old retirees, but I will answer all QSLs received. I do not participate in EQSL, but I do use LOTW. LOTW is nice, but even after over 51 years on the air, finding a REAL QSL in the mailbox makes my day!
I initiate QSL exchange only for cards that I really need. Before QSLing I always check QRZ.COM to make sure that the other station does not state a NO QSL policy. I have no argument with anyone who does not want to QSL, but they sure owe it to the rest of us to say so in order that we don't waste a card, an SASE and our time. QSLing is a time honored tradition of hamming - if you don't want to do it, be considerate enough to say so.
Contesters are notoriously bad QSLers, especially clubs and the big multi-ops. If they don't say NO QSL on QRZ.COM and then don't answer my card/SASE, their calls go on my permanent NO QSO list. I have no illusions that this will impact them in anyway - it is just that I think that I would be really gullible to repay their rudeness with any future QSOs.
To address the survey question directly, I answer all cards received with an SASE on the same day that I receive them. Stateside cards without an SASE get the same treatment unless I am out of stamps. DX cards with no SASE are answered by the bureau, within a month or less.

Contest QSL's

My log goes to LoTW within a day after the contest.
Hard-copy QSL's are answered with days of receipt.
I don't send anything to eQSL anymore --- too easy to spoof the system there.

My response to those who don't qsl is that in future contests I will not work that station if they stiffed me for a card I needed. The final courtesy of a qso is a qsl and if you won't even hold up that end of the deal, then ..................

I don't get that many cards, so far all my cards have been from US stations. I am not behind, other then eQSL cards that people send me, and I don't reply to. eQSL is nice, but I don't like the looks of most of the cards. Paper QSL's count for the Awards, so thats what I like. I QSL 100% With or without SASE, but SASE is nice and easy for me.

If it were not for excellent QSL'ers, I would not have many of the awards that I have today. With today's postage costs, I would prefer using the bureau or now with LOTW, I guess that is the cheaper way to confirm a contact. Glad to see most who posted here are current and up to date with QSL's. My advice to K8DO, add to your comment in QRZ.com that you don't QSL. This would save someone a stamp and the effort should they work you. I have no problem with anyone who does not QSL, just advertise the fact and save some poor ham .37 cents x 2 and two envelopes. When you make your choice, let others know about it...

I qsl 100% with all DX Stations I work. Once I log the contact, I write out the card and put it in my Outbound QSL stack. When I get 75 cards, I send them to the ARRL. I have noticed lately after numerous attempts to work a DX station, when I ask them there QSL route, they reply "sorry I don't send out QSL Cards anymore." how upsetting!. I hope those people who don't want to send out cards, at least upload there logs to LotW.

After more than 40 years I no longer QSL... Finding operating time is a luxury for me as making a living is a 16 hour a day endeavour... Finding time to do QSL cards means that the few minutes I have to operate on a given day is gone... I recognize that this makes those chasing awards unhappy, but for me it is a case of operate or QSL, but not both, and I have made my choice...

I return 100% QSLs for anything in my logs within a week, regardless of how the card is sent. Only reason for not QSL-ing is if the QSO is not in my log. Also do LOTW after every contest.

I'm completely current on any QSLs sent direct to me (same day reply for my US and DX QTHs), and I also QSL via LOTW, with all logs but the past few days entered.
Cards arriving via the Bureau are a few months behind, and low on the priority list of Things To Do.

I QSL 100% via EQSL and LOTW. Due other obligations paper QSLs take longer. I paper QSL to anyone I need for an award and reply to all QSLs received with or without SASE. Electronic QSLs are nice for those of us with limited time. I use Electronic QSLs in addition to traditional cards. '73 Jim - KF4GL/M

I qsl 100% with or without an SASE. I prefer the old hard card and use EQSL and LOTW.
All QSL's are completed within a few days after a contest and Bureau cards are sent out bi-monthly.
