logs

7 percent say they dont keep logs. WHY NOT? Do you qsl? Do you respond to QSLs? If not- Do you tell those with whom you QSO that you do not QSL? Why bother? It is the final courtesy of a QSO to QSL to those who send you one. I believe it was a mistake for the FCC to drop the logging requirement. What would you do if the FCC came in and asked if you were on the air on a certain date, and you couldnt prove you were not- as you have no logs for those times you were on? Its as much for our protection as it is for any other reason. Even mobile, you should at least keep the times/freqs when you came on the air, and when you qrt for that period.
