I was surprised at how clear and open the bands were. Didn't get that many QSO's but still surprised at the bands

These were the best conditions since the last solar cycle. With my BTV5 vertical, no radials, and my new FTDX5000 I made contacts into the Middle East, Far Easy, Pacific Islands and Australia. All on 15m and 10m.
WoW. This was really fun!

Great opening on 10M to Eu and SA. 15 & 20M also
productive.

Great conditions on 10 meters helped me out a lot, as I was running 100 watts into a vertical!

I was in heaven seeing all the new stations to
work constantly appearing on my band map. The
bands were so packed that many stations were
above 29000. This was the most fun I've had
contesting to date.

Even Tem meters was open. In fact it was my one of my most productive bands. Probably even better if I hadn't written 10m off when designing and installing my current antenna situation. I really didn't expect 10m to be as big a player as it was. I'll be better prepared next time. 73's Ed WD4ED
