Should the operator of a remotely controlled station that complies with all contest rules other than the fact that the operator is in a different geographical location be allowed to compete in the single operator category of major DX contests? All entrants should be a member of the ARRL to enter

Survey Comments

The ARRL. states it is the "The National Association for Amateur Radio" . As such I think ALL US amateur radio operators in the US should be allowed to Enter All ARRL. contests.
We need more contesters and also more DX operators and this might help to raise intrest in both. Also they might get a few more members.

Might get more members

Being a one-time award it's a bit different from the standard DXCC certificate. Perhaps a non-member who attains it will be more inclined to join the League. Anyway, opening it to everyone would stir up more interest in DXing. A price difference between League and non-League US operators could be included, which might be another incentive to join.

It's no different

This is the same rule as used for the standard DXCC award. I don't see any reason for treating this differently.
