Recently the RDXC committee reclassified P3F to high power from low power without publicly providing strong evidence that any infraction had occurred. They concluded was that the contestant was running HP on 80/40m but not full-time, just 10 minutes here and there without any convincing evidence. It appears they used the RBN as their source of information. Should the RXDC contest have to publicly provide convincing evidence before reclassifying a station from LP to HP?

Randy, K5ZD, wrote a sidebar titled " Convergence and Change" in the 2015 CQWW CW printed results in CQ magazine. He wrote that the "convergence of personal computers, Internet access, DX clusters, and CW Skimmer have changed the nature of CW contesting". He goes to say that it is "more difficult to police the line between the single operator working alone and those who are using the assistance of DX spotting." In light of this convergence and change is it time to recombine SO and SOA into a single category?

The point is:

The question was MULTI-SINGLE. Of course I know there is a multi-two catagory. I have done it many times.
I know of some people who would like to enter this contest in the multi-single catagory. Sure, they can, but they will not win. And in some cases they may not want to enter because they know they have no chance of winning. Some just want to operate while others want to operate with a chance to win. Why should they have to compete against multi-two stations? Perhaps some people do not want to sit there and operate 10 of the 12 hours as a single op. due to limitations of time or any one of a number of reasons. Maybe they enjoy having people over to operate and visit with when they are not in the operating chair (I know I do). Either way, a guy with one radio and one tribander can enter this contest and compete against stations in the same catagory with the possibility of winning. I have no doubt that it would encourage more operating time from various stations/operators thus adding more qsos to EVERYONES log.
As for the 10 minute rule....it stays. If/when multi-singles change bands then they must remain on that band for 10 minutes and the clock does not start until they make their first qso on that band. IF the 10 minute rule is thrown out the window for multi-singles then that opens the door for stations with multiple transmitter capabilities to dominate the catagory.
I am in total agreement with AA4LR in that there should be a SO/QRP catagory as well. The QRP guys do not stand much of a chance to win against the 100w guys.
Awards are given to the high score in each state/province etc. in the single-op catagory. This should also apply to all other catagories as well. At least some will have something to show for it other than just a few hundred qsos in their log.
NAQP is a great short duration contest and I see no reason why adding the catagory, or catagories, would not make it even better.
More stations on the air. More hours on the air. More qsos for everyone and more fun for those who are limited to one radio.

What was the question?

Perhaps I don't understand the question.

There's already a multi-operator category for NAQP. Unlike a lot of other contests, NAQP is short - 12 hours. The need for multiple operators diminishes in such a short time frame. While few people can do 30 or more hours at a time alone, most operators can withstand the 12 hours. It isn't like you need multiple operators for relief.

While the rules indicate a multi-operator / two-transmitter category, there's nothing stopping anyone from entering this category with a single transmitter.

Or is the idea for a multi-single to get rid of the 10 minute rule? If you try and do that, then you enable octopus operation.

Frankly, I'd rather see a SO - QRP classifiction before a Multi-Single
