ground wires for160 Reply

I live in a mobile home and have very limited air or ground space.
I did put up a 160 dipole that zigs and zags thru the trees. it works ok but not much DX.( 38 confirmed in 2 years)
I have two plots of groung of about 80'X 20' that I could use after the grass stops growing.
My thoughts are to run a wire from my ground stake and space it about 6 inches apart, leaving it open on the other end on top of the grass for the winter. this would be about 2000' in each plot.
Open to all comments and sugestions
tnx Walt
