What are the rules governing License class? Can a Technician operator an Extra's Station using the Extra's Call Sign in the Extra, Advanced or General portion of the bands?

This is my interpretation of the FCC's rules...

The control operator of the station must be licensed for the frequency and mode being used. So, if I let a Technician operate my station with my callsign, he or she is restricted to the bands above 30 MHz. However, the situation changes if I am present at the control-point with the operator throughout the operation. Then, it can become third-party operation, where the Technician is no different than an unlicensed third-party. In the third-party situation, all communication is restricted by third-party agreements, etc. So, from a contest perspective, this arrangement works best for domestic contests.

My two bits...
