Computer Interface for Kenwood 440S Reply
by NN7L on August 26, 2000 Mail this to a friend!
I have had difficulty trying to locate the accessories required to connect my pc to my Kenwood 440S. Are there any alternatives to using the IF232C and IC-10?

Thank you,
Jason

Hi Jason,

I don't usually answer posts that I have no answer for <grin> but since this had not been responded to after 5-6 days...

I know of no 3rd-party source for the computer interface for a 440. FWIW, the TS-930/940 are far more popular contest rigs and each have recently had an aftermarket board designed by PIEXX.

You might email them and ask if there are any plans for a 440 unit.

There are a couple of companies that make the chipset that goes inside the radio and the interface that connects the radio to your computer. Here is just 1 of those places. http://www.qth.com/prolog/riginterface.htm
