I use a Mirage B108 amp. It switches between FM and SSB, and also has a preamp installed. It has never quite yet...and I use it whenever I use VHF. Good luck in your search.

I also have a Mirage B108. It works great. I also have the 160W version and it works well, but the B108 has plenty of power and is reliable.
