My Dad VK2LBS has in the garage a PDL 2 Quad that he would like to use on ten metres. I am interested if anyone has played with making one of these ex CB antennas dual band ie 10 and 15 metres? They are not a conventional quad in that they feed the spreaders on the driven element via a choke arrangement. They can also switch horizontal and vertical.
The VK novice is restricted to 80 15 and 10 on HF.
Thanks in anticipation.

Hello there,
I have a PDL 2 up in the air right now, and I use it on 15 meters all the time. You will need an antenna tuner though. I use it on 10,12,15 and 17 ,meters
with satisfing results.
