I would like to have some thoughts about Writelog from people that have been using it in contests. Is it safe even though it's a window based program?

I am not a heavy contester, but I have used it in ssb, cw & rtty contests. I have never had it crash, either in version 9 or 10. I have used CT in the past & I find Writelog superior once you get adjusted to the differences & have the screen set up to your liking. I just wish I had a biddger screent so I could open more windows.

I have used writelog exclusively for the past 2 contest seasons (SS, CQP, ARRL DX, CQWW, ARRL 10, etc.) and have been very happy with it. Features, reliability, performance are all excellent.

I have been using Writelog of 3 years now. It works very well. The bandmap, cluster (both packet & telnet) works fine. It is Windows based, but most people are now using Windows and is not a problem. The soundcard is used for rtty, psk31 and cw and works outstanding. Soundcard also works as a voice keyer for ssb contests. If your harddrive is big enough, you can record the whole contest and play it back as it is logged by hour.
The other contests software are very good. I can say nothing bad about them as I have used most of them. Writelog is right at the top of the list for useability, support, and value for the buck. I think that anyone would be happy with it.
