20 meters.
Many of the DX stations start on this band looking for a few big hours before hitting the low bands. Often, they end up spending a lot of their daylight time on 15/10 where propagation is better.
There just isn't a better time to find all of these guys on 20 meters at the same time.
If you are a two radio wizard, you can do this while running guys. However, the short exchange in this contest make it much harder than the SS.

Thanks Tree. Do you think that selection of 20M might in part be a West Coast thing? I know K3ZO starts on 40, but I always felt like I was missing something doing that, even though the rate is high.
