do we have Mafia Groups in Amateur Radio? are there Superpower in our Hobby? are we Equall?

It's a great hobby, but hobbies generally don't involve a "mafia", as there's little or no profit potential in participating. Equality is what it is, and the only "power" groups might be contest clubs, for example, but I don't know of any real "power" there. Anyone else have a thought on this?

W5YI is about the closest thing to a Mafia we have. He has abused the power of his position with NCVEC and an NCI board member to help eliminate the code requirement here in the US.

He is truly a destructive force in this once great hobby.
