Good tips for experienced and new contesters. Would add a little one: keep a pencil and paper to write down the things you think of during the contest. Things that need to be changed before the next test, etc.

Excellent list. Have fun! When you get to the weekend after the week-long stressful job routine, check to see if there is a contest you might like to operate.

"Accurate logging. A contest is about working stations and logging them accurately. If you dont you get penalized."
With tip #15 in mind, why do so many operators rattle off their calls so fast that, I anyway, have to spend precious contact making time trying to figure out what their call sign is?
Another gripe, the station that is making contact after contact for minutes on end and never once gives his call sign, is he just working cluster watchers? Is that even a contest category? Should it be made one?
