The ARRL declared 2009 as the "Year of the State QSO Party"
Saturday, March 21, 2009 brings the resurrected North Dakota QSO Party to the airwaves after a 14-year
hiatus. Although there are active stations, ND remains elusive to many operators seeking a QSO and
confirmation. Here is your change to fill that gap!
The complete rules can be found here: www.k0ln.com
In general, it follows other QSO Party guidelines of all HF contest bands, and includes VHF and UHF activity
as well. CW or Phone will be found in all the usual places. It's an 8-hour event that begins Saturday at
1700 UTC.
Several Minnesota Wireless Assn mobile operators have made plans to activate ND counties in the eastern
part of the state. They will concentrate on CW contacts on 20, 40, and 80 meters. Look for their familiar
calls.
Both N1MM Logger and WriteLog now support the NDQP. Dan Karg - K0TI has expanded his QSO Party
logger to include this contest as well. Download a free copy here: http://home.comcast.net/~wr0dk/
