2003 Oregon QSO Party

Date:

1400 UTC 10 May to 0200 UTC 11 May 2003. (7AM to 7PM PDT Saturday).

Objective:

Oregon stations work everyone, others work Oregon stations only.

Exchange:

OR stations give RST and county, others give RST and state, province or country.

Bands:

160 through 2m, no repeaters, no WARC bands. Suggested frequencies are 40kHz up on CW, and up from 3870, 7270, 14270, 21370 and 28370 kHz on SSB.

Scoring:

Count 1 point per SSB QSO, 2 points per CW QSO. No repeater QSOs. Work stations once per band and mode. Mobile stations may be worked again as they enter new counties. Contacts with/by stations located on the border of two counties count as two QSOs; 3 counties, 3 QSOs, etc. Non-OR stations multiply QSO points by the number of OR counties worked. Oregon stations multiply QSO points by the sum of OR counties +states +provinces +DXCC countries.
All stations may earn one extra multiplier for each 8 QSOs in the same OR county. However, county border stations may count one QSO (not 2/3/4) per contact towards this extra multiplier.
50 bonus points for working special club station
K7O.

Awards:

A certificate will be awarded to the top ten Oregon fixed and top five mobile stations, the top OR county line station, and the highest score (reporting at least 10 OR contacts) in each state, province and country.

Logs:

Entrants must submit a log containing times in UTC, call of station worked, RST, state, province OR county, band, and mode. Circle new multipliers worked. OR mobiles must indicate county changes in the log. Any station with more than 100 QSOs must submit a dupe sheet, or submit an electronic log. Any plain text electronic logging program output is acceptable. A summary sheet must be submitted with every log.

Send by June 10, 2003 to Oregon QSO Party, c/o K9QAM, 23083 Maverick Lane. Bend, OR 97701. Computer logs to
