Are You Going Somewhere?

Contest DXpeditioning has grown in recent years into a substantial part of contesting today. What I would like to see on this contesting.com site is a forum for exchanging hints and information about contest expedtions. I bet there are quite many who would benefit from such a forum.

There are a few sites around with announced operations, licencing information, expediton-friendly places and so on. They are not always updated and don't give a chance to get in touch with individuals involved. What I miss is a place where practical information can be exchanged and contest operators solicited.

I am interested in joining a group or groups this autumn/winter (spring/summer in southern hemishpere) season that plan going to some warm place for any major contest. I am capable of CW and SSB contest operating but not for 48 hours. I have experience of most antennas and equipment but don't own very much myself. I am always interested in local foods, booze and people so I don't want to spend all the time by the radio. I usually take some pictures and write some stories. I have visited tens of countries on all continents but far from all the 335 on the DXCC list.

It is definitely more fun to be part of a group. More can be done in a group, everybody can learn something, the score will be bigger, more equipment can be used, the contest story will be more interesting.

I would like to hear from any group, small or large, that could you an extra pair of hands and ears in some warm place (not JW or VP8) from the end of September onwards. I live in Stockholm, Sweden. Places I have contemplated recently include ZD7 - St. Helena, HH - Haiti, but I can go almost anywhere.
