Program for 2001 Radiofest 

 and DX-Contestvention East at Glen Spey, NY

Due to shortage of promotion time and concern of some contest club's members this year's program will be compressed to one day event on Saturday Nov. 10, 2001

Come, see the place, meet the people, enjoy presentations, have fun!

8:00 am     Breakfast - fresh NY bagels, muffins with fixins and fresh Starbucks coffee

10:00 - 12:00 am    Antenna forum

10:00 - 10:45 pm   Quads, multiple polarizations and techniques by Ken "Judge" Glanzer, K7GCO
Advantages of Quads, ways of feeding, 6 polarizations, multibanding, applications for contesters.
11:00 - 11:45 pm   Miracle by the ocean by Yuri Blanarovich, K3BU, VE1BY, VE3BMV
Salt water phenomena and ground effects, vertical magic, search for the most effective vertical radiator, 3/8 vertical, 4-square, quad loops, EZNEC modeling, practical results and comparisons of 4 square vs. 3 el. dual polarization Quad at Cape Hatteras, NC vs. NJ

Problems and techniques of using two or more radios on the same band, interference, phase noise, RX overload, polarization diversity, switching system. Application is SO or MM situations. Display and demo of hardware on 10m.

History of Verkhovyna resort, plans for development and activities, home to ham radio, camps, meetings, conventions, plans for building N2EE M/M Tesla RC "mother of all contest stations"
Yuri's famous gourmet Ukrainian Pizza, salad buffet and Spaten Oktoberfest Beer on tap courtesy of Tesla RC and Verkhovyna Mountainview Resort
Giant hospitality suite, bar, mingle with big guns and little pistols, tell the lies, show your slides and videos and have fun as long as you can stand it.
