The 1941 amateur radio classic, CALLING CQ by Clinton B. DeSoto is now also available in Palm Reader format. The free Palm Reader will permit the book to be read on a Palm OS and other PDA devices.

I'm fortunate to own an original hardback copy of this book. It's a fascinating collection of anecdotes about amateur radio in the late 1920s and 1930s. I've read and reread my copy. Have only seen one other copy available. A few years ago I wrote to the ARRL, suggesting that they reprint it. But, alas, it wasn't originally published by them. If you have any interest in the history of our hobby, this is a book well worth reading!

I also have a hardbound copy of the book which I bought
over 30 years ago in a used bookstore in Chicago. Paid
90 cents for it! It's one of the best books about ham
radio that I've ever read. Everyone should read the
section which talks about the golden era of ham radio, the late 30's before WW2.
