Alan,

Thanks for the input. I will give it a serious look next chance I get. WL
is a complex program and there is always something “new” I didn’t know it could
do.

Dave,

Glad you have a work-around that doesn't sound too difficult.

FYI, you said you didn't want to do a full install because you would lose all
of your settings.

You should save your settings with a file name you can go back to later. In the
first window that selects which contest you want, there is a button to load INI
settings called "Import". It isn't really an INI file like in the olden days,
but it looks like it. It's just a text file that you can modify with an
external text editor or with the "Edit" button. I think the only way you can
create the file (other than typing it all) is to use the "Export" button on
that same window. It will save all the INI settings into a text file that you
can later "Import" if you've had to do a fresh install of the program.

I think that when you do a "Save Configuration" it does NOT update that text
file. It only updates the actual settings which are now in the registry. The
only way you can update the text file is to close and re-open WL, then "Export"
at the first window. Awkward, but it works. I now have several different INI
files for different events. If I'm wrong about that, maybe someone will correct
me.

Problem is related to which of the 3 large screen displays I open the
program in. I'm not sure why it does it, but I have figured out how to
make it work.

I don't know what I've done to cause this , but I cannot get Writelog to
open/run. This is the second time today I have had this issue so I think
something else may be causing the problem. To resolve it the first time, I
completely removed Writelog and did a full install. I don't want to do this
again because I lose all my default settings and since I don't know the
cause it could happen again.

When I double click on the shortcut, It opens the initial dialog box where
I select the log I want to open. Then it appears to be loading but a few
seconds later it all stops and nothing loads or appears on the screen. No
error messages . . . . nothing. If I reboot the computer I get the same
indications with nothing loading or showing up on the screen.

I'm a VHF/UHF person and I am 2 days from my biggest contest activity of the
year. I don't need this issue. HELP !!!
