The examples also include step by step (text) captions. For example
(from the "microKEYER II and WriteLog Setup" document):

1. Click Setup| Ports ...
2. Select K1EL WinKey as the CW keyer type
3. Assign CW to the WinKey port you used in Router's
   Ports tab

As far as I know, both WriteLog and microHAM USB Device Router use
standard screen libraries that are compatible with screen readers.

Make sure the MicroHam software specifies a port for WinKey.

In Writelog, go to ports and set CW keyer type to K1EL Winkey. Leave SO2R
Control set to none.

Set the radio button for CW to the com port that you specified in the MicroHam
software.

That should get you to the point that CW messages are keying things.

You say it works for N1MM+ so have to figure it is something the WriteLog setup.

Hello Robert et al,

So under “CW” in the configuration section, I have 8 choices. The only MicroHam
setting is for MKR which is used with SO2R. I’m a visually impaired guy so if there is
another place on the screen where Microham MKII is listed, please tell me. I certainly am not able
to read it.

The only other setting for CW is the five choices I assume for LPT and com
ports. Any input appreciated. 73, Bob K3UL

FWIW

I’m hooking up winkey2 this month

have used the PC generated CW in past – normally it works great but think RF
got computer few times on that transistor interface

and it would jitter & quit. then reboot…

check the writelog settings, if you’re got Microham 2 set in CW window, then
it’s a mystery to me

My only experience with Microham was at Carl’s rental, the P40YL side had MicroHam,
Most – including me, unhooked it and used USB to RS232 or whatever instead then hooked
back up as was.

Hello Robert,

MicroHam MKII.

I just want to be sure I don’t have some incorrect setting where I believe I’m using
the WINKEYER in the MicroHam MKII when I’m not and actually using PC generated CW..

How are you interfacing from writelog/computer to Rig on CW?

PC generate?

Winkeyer?

Etc?

Greetings,

I've had an ongoing problem using WriteLog with CW breaking up or having some
delays, speeding up or slowing down, mostly speeding up in the middle of a
message. Any thoughts as to why this behavior? 73, Bob K3UL
