Also think if you are planning to cover V/UHF with 2nd radio.  Ports setting
could be tricky.  I use TS-890 with microHAM DKII, that occupies all 4 ports
(Rig, CW, RTTY, PTT).  Finally I configured with IC-9700 that I plan to use
on CW/SSB/FT8/(FM).  The change is done manually, so not instant but I can
switch maybe in less than 30 seconds.

Hard to say on #1.

As for #2, WL is great at moving between modes.  To switch to RTTY just
right click in the logging window and select RTTY view.  To switch to FT
modes, right click and select DigiRite view.  (Both assume you have MMTTY
and DigiRite installed and configured.)

1.  Should we expect and increase in RTTY activity this year?

2.  Will Writelog (WL) transition between CW or PH to DIGI and back and
forth without any problems?
