Some time back I had the INRAD roofing filter installed in my trusty
756ProIII and have been pleased with the results. I also set up the
RTL2832u SDR dongle and brought the 1st IF signal out using the "no mods
required" on-board test jack. Not so pleased... The test jack now sees
the post INRAD filter and significantly limits the SDR bandwidth in the
bandmap. I had been eyeing the IC7610 as a replacement for the ProIII,
but based on a recent posting in our local contest club which pointed
out that the ProIII receiver seemed to be as good as the 7610, the 7610
goes on the back burner until there's a significant step function change
(or until I read about what I missed).
But that got me thinking again about the SDR displayed bandwidth. I
decided to take one more pass through the circuits and see if there was
a better point to tap the 1st IF that was accessible without having to
do any significant soldering around SMC items. I did find a couple of
points, only one of which was visible w/o taking off filter covers or
removing the board. But being visible is not the same as being
accessible! So I resigned myself to buttoning up the rig and living with
what I had. Then I had the "DOH" moment and realized that Hey, wait,
where does INRAD get their IF signal from, and where does it go? Sure
enough they tap a good spot, and bring it to a jack on their "floating"
PC board which has life-sized components on it. I tapped the jack input
with a 50pf cap (smallest I could find in my junk box), scavenged a
small coax with a SDR matching connector on it, and brought it out
through the back of the rig. Purists may want to actually mount a jack
on the INRAD board.
Bottom line, no change to 756ProIII performance or screen display, and I
now see the entire desired spectrum on the bandmap; and I still have my
rig play money!

Have you checked the example configuration file for MK and Writelog
(in Router -> Help | Download Documents or on-line in the MK area
at www.microHAM-USA.com/Support.html)?
*DO NOT* attempt to use the same port for the radio and CW (K1EL
Winkey). Also confirm that "COM PTT" for all Ports is set to NO.

In Writelog 12.35c, I selected PORTS and set Comm10 for CW and then
identify K1EL Winkey as the CW Keying Interface.? When I tap APPLY and
then OK I am getting a "Can't open port for Winkey" error.?? This
implies that something else is using Comm10, but I am not aware of
anything that is using Comm10.? So I shutdown to power off with the
computer thinking that this would release Comm10--no luck!
BTW this configuration with Comm10, uRouter and Writelog v11.29 worked.
Any help here?

I have just created an ARRL RTTY Roundup ADIF prefill file for WriteLog and
posted it to my club website, the Eastern Iowa DX Association home page at <
www.eidxa.org >. From the home page, click the "DX Resources" link from the
main menu at the top left side of the home page. The prefill links are at the
bottom of the "DX Resources" page. What you will download is a zip file
containing the ADIF prefill file.
The source file for this was a plain text file from the N1MM+ web site, which
was last updated on January 8, 2018. Note that the date shown on the N1MM+ web
page is January 1, 2019, however the file was actually updated immediately
after last year's running of the RTTY RU.

If you would like to contribute your CABRILLO format logs for the SCP database,
please send them at any time.
The easiest thing to do is to bcc the following email address:
logs@supercheckpartial.com
..when you submit your log to the sponsor?s robot after each contest.
Please DO NOT send ADIF files!
You can send more than one log attachment in a single email BUT PLEASE DON?T
SEND THEM IN A ZIP file!
If you want to check the version of the SCP files you are using, look for a call
beginning with ?VER2". Every SCP file includes the version number in the list
of calls in the format VERYYYYMMDD.
The next release of the database will be at the beginning of February 2019.
Any requested changes or deletions of callsigns received by NOON PST on
February 1st, 2019 will be included in that release.
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO SEND ADD/CHANGE MESSAGES WITHOUT ATTACHED LOGS OTHERWISE I
PROBABLY WON?T SEE YOUR REQUEST due to the email processing robot.
IMPORTANT: Before sending an add/change message, please check the LATEST
version of the SCP database to see whether your requested change (especially
add requests) is unnecessary because the call is already present.
Please let me know if you find any bad calls in the files.
