During SS SSB as a M/S, we had a couple of problems with V 10.61E.

First, the wave files would have a delay at the beginning and the end
even though the messages in the wave files had been edited, using
Audacity, with any blank audio at the beginning and end trimmed
off. The transmitter's PTT would be keyed and after about 1 to 2
seconds the actual wave file would start to be transmitted. When a
second file was appended to the first file being transmitted, e.g.,
F1 is hit again before the initial CQ ends, the second CQ starts
without any initial delay. This delay kept us from using wave
files. Any ideas on how to eliminate this delay in transmitting wave files?

The second problem had to do with changing operators and using the
"change operator" in the "Entry" pull down. Before the start of the
Contest, the calls were entered and the window closed. When the
change operator window again was pulled up only the present
operator's call was in the window. The call of the new operator
again was placed in the change operator window, but the new
operator's wave files were not accessed by the function keys. All
operator wave files were stored in a file with their call in WL's
wave file. Also, the first operator's wave file would now have a new
file with the second operator's call as the title and would be
empty. The second operator would have to tell the computer where his
wave file was located through the Port setup window as if the initial
setup of WL for the contest was being performed. Not sure where the
problem is, WL or the operator, but sure was annoying.

         73,
         Mike, K4GMH
