Hi John,
Moisture within any feedline is trouble - moisture will cause corrosion /
oxidization.
These conditions will build resistance / impedance problems within feedlines /
terminations.
At higher power levels, moisture can cause RF arcing.
Many professional installations, Heliax is slightly pressurized with N2 to keep
moisture out.
