Yes, the stand-alone GM towers are a different design than the rooftop towers.

While the legs with the “leg to roof” right angle bracket look similar to Glen 
Martin’s design,  the Glenn Martin tower that I purchased 24 years ago did not 
use rounded aluminum tubing type struts, braces, etc.  All parts were flat or 
right angle formed aluminum parts. My tower was the 4 1/2 foot Glen Martin 
version.
