Yep, widely available but not created equal. Price varies by greater than a factor of two and does not correlate with quality, at least in my personal experience.

I have standardized on pairs of flat 4 conductor trailer connectors for all my 8 conductor control cable connector needs, even on rotators with built in round "Cannon" type connectors to give me exchange/substitution compatibility. I am considering going to them for remote coax switch cables as well.

Super bang for the buck in weatherproof polarized connectors. Still I like to add additional weatherproofing in the form of electrical tape ans silicone caulk.

Trailer connector 4 pin sets are widely available. Buy 2 sets and connect
one of the male ends and one of the female ends to the rotator. Use the
other male and female for the cable end to your station. Works great.

I use a good old fashioned 6 pin trailer connector set, one on the rotator
tail and the other on the cable. All pins and holes well covered with
CorrisionBlock. And I live on the ocean, been up since 2003 and only
finally corroded inside this year (should have put some seal where the
wires enter the rubber block). Available at any auto parts store usually.

Does anyone have any recommendations for trailer hitch electrical
connectors
that work well as rotator control cable connectors? I would like to have
at
least 5 conductors in the connector, if possible.
