Not quite on the voltage, I think.  Whether open or closed wouldn't the 
first in the series have full voltage to ground or to the coil ?  Onl;y if 
they were indeed mechanically and electrically daisy chained (difficult to 
do) would the voltage divide up through the series.

##  I have never had problems paralleling diodes...or anything else, like caps, 
bandswitch wafer's, etc. 
The secret is, you require equal lengths'  going in an out of the contacts on 
relays.  Inputs have 
to be the same, and outputs have to be the same.  For stuff like 3 x pole 
relays, or a mess of diodes
all in parallel.. the trick is to go in on the top left hand corner, then exist 
the bottom right hand corner...
or  enter the bottom right hand corner, and exit the top right hand corner.    
That way the TOTAL in and out
length is the SAME for each device.    THEN the current will split equally 
among all the deices you are paralleling. 

##  In a remote switch box, You are not hot switching, so no issues.  You are 
NOT turning a 2 hp motor on/off. 
The peak V  with 1.5 kw is so low [388 v peak /275v rms]   that  V is not an 
issue.  And yes, you can series contacts
from 2 x relays to increase V rating.
