Gentlemen,

Whilst in the process of obtaining design and installation information about
towers, masts and ground anchors, I found and obtained a copy of a book
called "Communication Structures" written by Brian W Smith and first
published in 2007 by Thomas Telford www.thomastelford.com/books. This book
has a considerable amount of detailed information and references, together
with some very interesting photographs, including one of an accident where a
light aircraft has flown into, and remained buried in one side of a guyed
lattice mast, surprisingly the mast remained upright, although a little
bent! The pilot of the aircraft was able to climb down the mast to the
ground. 73, John G3JVC.
