The 80 meter verticals I have described in past postings are easy enough for
me to install by myself with the use of a ladder...they hold up real well in
high wind. It has only been EXTREME winter wx conditions involving ice up to
2 inches on the guy lines and wind where they have failed-

My original design was using Texas Towers Aluminum beginning with 2 1/8 inch
diameter in 6 foot sections tapered 1/8 inch and doubled wall at the
intersection about 6 inches for each piece assembled.

Interesting how my posting of increasing the aray's bandwidth by using offset
verticals lead to some neat stuff on building verticals with aluminum - Wish
I would have known what I've learned in the last two days on double walling,
tappered elements etc.........would have saved some headaches in rebuilds but
I never would have discovered some other interesting findings with the array-
