The if/audio board #81646 is the board I referred to in our phone contact.
The diagram is labeled 81646 and has 10 potentiometers shown doing
various things and the board is a through hole board. The board in your radio
is marked 81646 SMD and only has 5 potentiometers on it and none are marked
as to what they do. I can’t tell for sure but the IC’s on your board
appear to be the same ones in the diagram.

Don’t want to adjust anything because I don’t know what I might screw up.

The station I worked last night was W6K in Oklahoma. He was up and down
and gave me a 4 and 2. I gave him a 5and 2 with about S7 noise. Mike gain at
the 3 o’clock position. Power difference? I’ll try the boom mike next
and see what it sounds like and let you know.=
