I took the liberty of changing the subject line.
My dad worked for NASA and he stayed abreast of what was up there and where to 
look for it.
We spent many nights looking for whatever was up there.
I remember one satellite that undulated as it passed over. The explanation was 
that it was tumbling end for end.
Was Echo the one that inflated after it achieved orbit?
