BTW, the mod I was referring to in the Yaesu FT-1000 for fixing the Key
Clicks problem is available from INRAD for $15. INRAD is a daughter company
of Vibroplex, where Scott and Stan work.

The FT-1000D was introduced in 1989.
It had the Key Clicks problem was an issue from the get go.
Tom Rauch publicized a cure just a few years later.

Yaesu finally corrected the issue in 2004 with the announcement of the
FT-1000MP - just a mere 15 years after it had introduced this nightmare.
Hats off the Yaesu for their responsiveness!

If your FT-1000 is pre-2004 and has not yet been fixed, you may want to
contact INRAD and get one.
