I suspect it was a valid email as it came in response to something you initiated.

They do a freeze on accounts of people who haven't sold recently, or if someone who normally sells small things lists big ticket items. Annoying for people like me who accumulate things for a few years before thinning the herd.

When I restart my selling cycle, I start with low cost items and ramp up values over several weeks.

A bit off thread, but…has anyone else been having problems lately with paypal since 
they split from ebay? This was the body of a message I got today from paypal after having my 
account frozen for 21 days for no clear apparent reason….this after being their 
customer for a long time and having a 100 percent seller rating.
