Funny you should mention that. I have just purchased an Argo VI and love the separate Rf and AF controls. Not quite so happy about selecting which row of push buttons but that has not been a major issue. I have been debating on whether to get the matching amplifier but my Jupiter works when I need 100 W.

You sure struck a nerve in that review:

  Amen, to separate AF-gain and RF-gain
  controls.

These important functions deserve separate controls. One should not have
to push a button or a knob before he can adjust either function.
These are so frequently adjusted, they NEED separate controls.

I think that is my only objection to either radio.
