Check the Alpha web site- they used to have a suggested keying circuit for
the pin-diode switched 87A. My vacuum relay-switched 99 works great in the
keying loop.

Yet another question. The Alpha 87A amp does not have a QSK keying
loop as do the TT amps. Is there
a best way to key it from an OmniVI? Has anyone done this? I am
thinking that the TX REQ signal
from the VI can be used to key the amp but wonder if there are any
other issues or solutions.
