Yes and as close to the amp as possible, not with a few feet or more of
coax between the amp and the filter. Keep that coax jumper under a foot.

The PA running class B makes lots of harmonics even when driven with a
perfectly clean signal, so the intermediate filter will just upset the
impedance match between the exciter and the PA.
