My 705 microphone manual shows pin 4 as Plus Electret Voltage (7 to 14) VDC).

My Omni VI+ manuas shows the transciever supplying +4 volts to the mic, 
although no-load measurement at the mic connector shows 9.44 volts using a 
Fluke 77 multimeter.

The only modification shown in the 705 manual is to a Corsair Transciever.

I hope this helps. Also, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, I cannot 
overemphasize the value of manuals for all your TenTec gear. The absolute best 
first source for this information is TenTec. Their tech line is also the best 
if you need help
