Hello All,

I've noticed the same WRT the AGC attack time too. I like Ron's list. I
would

also suggest getting the RFI out of the rear speaker output as well as the
key

jack. I have a 1 foot cable between the O II and my mixing board, with a
ferrite

on each end, as well as the center, and still get some RF back into the rig.

It would be really nice if the ALC attack and release were tailorable from
the menus.

Then the CW folks could tune for optimal key click suppression, and the SSB
folks

could tune for the best "envelope".

Has anyone noticed that even with the SP=off setting there still seems to be
some

"compression action" going on? I don't hear it through the monitor, but hear
it

if I listen to myself on a different rig. I key up and then hear a rush as
the background

noise sucks up??? I have the AGC off on the receiving rig.
