Thanks to everybody for the feedback on the microphones. I haven't seen too
many comments from 709 users, so I'm somewhat undecided. (I'd rather not
use a desk mic, so that's why I haven't mentioned the possibility of using
something like the 708 that some of you mentioned).
Regarding the Heil mics, I've read posts that indicate that their output is
a little too weak for some of the TT radios and that some TT users have had
to utilize pre-amps to account for this. I've been looking at the GM-5 and
the PR-20 as
choices in the Heil line. I guess I'd welcome comments from anybody using
these mics relative to the output capability of these mics and their
compatibility and performance with the Orion.
